Dominique M. Chanza, MSW, LCSW

Reentry Case Manager

Dominique Chanza exemplifies dedicated leadership and a strong commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers in our legal and criminal justice system through passionate advocacy. As a Reentry Case Manager at the Office of Returning Citizens, Dominique is devoted to implementing solution-focused initiatives for successful reintegration in Boston.

Being the first in her family to pursue higher education, Dominique holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master's in Social Work with a specialization in Trauma from Simmons University. Her journey to pursuing a Master's degree was influenced by her experience as a Litman Fellow for Harvard Defenders, where her passion for assisting returning citizens was ignited. Dominique has gained valuable experience by working closely with individuals transitioning back into society, serving as a Clinical Supervisor in the Massachusetts Department of Corrections and as a Reentry Coordinator in the Suffolk County House of Corrections.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by those reentering society, Dominique utilizes her interdisciplinary expertise in legal and social services to advocate for Returning Citizens both before and after their release. Beyond her professional pursuits, Dominique finds joy in savoring a good cup of coffee, spending quality time with her dog, and indulging in shopping.
