The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. This time is dedicated for attendees to:

• arrive at the venue
• sign in at the registration desk, and
• receive their QR Code Name Tags.

We encourage participants to arrive early to ensure a smooth check-in process, allowing ample time to settle in before the official program begins.

Led by the Consensus Building Institute associates Elizabeth Cooper and Brandon Chambers, and designed for those eager to master mediation and consensus-building in challenging dialogues. Participants will learn how to de-escalate emotionally charged discussions, enhance their listening and communication skills, and find common ground. The session focuses on ethical considerations, self-care in mediation, and the practical application of these skills in real-life scenarios. Enjoy a delightful lunch while Side Presents, a Boston-based creative production company, will be the Civic Summit’s featured emcee. Side Presents will facilitate engaging networking activities, designed to foster connections and create a dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees

Join us at "Becoming a Civic Leader" an interactive panel discussion moderated by Chief Brianna Millor of the Community Engagement Cabinet. Gain essential skills for effective community leadership from M. Lee Pelton, president and CEO of The Boston Foundation, Matthew Broude, Co-founder of The Queer Neighborhood Council, Commissioner Kristen McCosh, the city's Disability Commissioner and President of BU SOCA and youth leader Brianna Bourne.
