Bike to Work Day
We had so much fun seeing everyone on May 17, 2024. Looking forward to 2025!
About
What is the Bike to Work Day Festival?
Boston’s National Bike to Work Day Festival celebrates National Bike to Work Day. It's our way of saying, “Thanks for riding your bike today.” We think it’s important to celebrate everyone who rides in Boston. We also want to make it fun for experienced and new bike commuters by organizing convoys and a festival. We celebrate from 7 to 9 a.m.
Because you rode your bike, you’ll get a free breakfast and coffee amid an expo in downtown Boston. Join a group ride leaving from your neighborhood or just show up for the fun. Going to work after the event is optional.
We served coffee, fruit, mini burritos, baked goods, and more thanks to our generous donors in 2024.
Register
Attendees
Stop by the festival any time between 7 and 9 a.m. to join the fun! Breakfast is only for cyclists. Please be prepared to show us your bike, helmet, or Bluebikes key.
Registration is free. We encourage you to register for the festival. We share information with group ride leaders so they know who to expect. It also helps us plan for coffee, snacks, and t-shirts. By registering, you can sign-up for free t-shirt.
Exhibitors
People arrive at Boston's National Bike to Work Day Festival energized from riding and ready to ask questions about your organization and products. The open tent atmosphere is great for engaging area residents.
We welcome you to set up a table or tent, provide product samples, and offer fun and engaging activities. Your can offer packaged food, bike repair, or anything else that’s fun and relevant!
Volunteer
We need a big team of volunteers for this event, and it is so fun to participate.
Ride Leaders
Lead a group of bike riders from an assigned meeting point to the event with designated "pickup points" along the way. Volunteers are expected to welcome and introduce riders, know the route, and maintain a safe environment for participants. Timing is roughly 6:30 a.m. to when you arrive at the event. View the routes.
Plaza Volunteers
Welcome incoming riders at the event by helping to set up, distribute t-shirts and snacks, or put everything away after the party. You'll be needed 6:30 - 9 a.m.
If you're interested in helping us, please email Annisha.
