How to appeal an accessible parking spot denial

You can appeal the City's decision if your application for an accessible parking spot was denied.

Before you get started

You can make an appeal to the Disabilities Commission within 30 days of the date you received your denial. You must send us a written response.

Prepare your appeal

We include specific reasons for why we denied your application when we mail you a denial letter. Please address these point in your appeal letter. Please also include your name and the date.

Attach any documents that support your appeal, like:

  • photos of the area where you requested an accessible parking space
  • a signed statement from your landlord if you're not allowed to use the driveway, and
  • any other information that might help your application.
